The floor assembly should be sound, compatible, suitably flat, and prepared under the selected tile method, including required membranes, movement accommodation, and heating-system documentation.
Mortar selection, coverage, cure, joint spacing, plane, and lippage should follow the installation method and tile characteristics.
Perimeter, field, change-of-plane, transition, and drainage details should follow the selected method and project requirements without rigidly trapping the tile assembly.
Grout and sealant should be compatible, properly cured, full and consistent, while the tile surface remains free of haze, scratches, chips, residue, and premature traffic damage.
