Waterproofing records, tile selection, and layout match the approved shower

Critical item

The visible finish should correspond to a documented compatible waterproofing and tile system, approved layout, drain type, niches, benches, curbs, and attachment plan.

Tile plane, alignment, cuts, edges, and fixtures are finished safely

Tile, trim, cuts, penetrations, lippage, and exposed edges should match the approved appearance and remain free of sharp, loose, cracked, or poorly supported pieces.

Water drains as intended and flexible joints are complete

Critical item

The completed shower should direct water to the drain without unintended escape or persistent ponding, while changes of plane and system movement locations use the required flexible treatment.

Grout, sealant, glass, accessories, cleaning, and care information are complete

Finish materials and attachments should be cured, clean, securely installed, and maintained according to the selected system without puncturing concealed waterproofing contrary to the approved detail.

Use this checklist after shower tile and grout are complete. It verifies visible finish and closeout conditions; it does not replace pre-tile waterproofing inspection or a required shower pan flood test.
