Finish materials, substrate preparation, setting, joints, sealants, penetrations, fittings, and cure or startup procedures should follow the approved system and manufacturer instructions.
Deck elevations, drainage, surface finish, movement or isolation joints, penetrations, and transitions should match the approved plans and product requirements without directing runoff into buildings or unsafe areas.
Pumps, filters, valves, heaters, sanitizing equipment, automation, covers, alarms, suction outlets, drains, and water features should be installed, labeled, and commissioned by qualified persons under listings and approved plans.
The completed pool should not be used until required barriers and safety devices are approved. Fence geometry, openings, gates, latches, doors, alarms, covers, and climbing hazards are jurisdiction-specific life-safety requirements.
The owner should receive final permit approvals, as-built information, equipment and safety instructions, warranties, startup chemistry records, maintenance requirements, keys, codes, and emergency procedures.
