The flange, drain connection, fastener support, and surrounding subfloor should be sound and repaired with an approved method before the toilet is set.
The selected seal, bowl setting, shimming, fasteners, torque, and base treatment should follow the fixture and seal manufacturer instructions without cracking the porcelain.
The shutoff, connector, fill valve, tank hardware, bowl connection, and drainage should remain watertight and operate as intended through repeated cycles.
The shutoff should remain accessible and operable, adjacent finishes should be undamaged, and removed fixtures and waste should be handled as agreed.
