Equipment should fit, remain stable and serviceable, and operate without float interference, short cycling, sediment blockage, or uncontrolled soil gas where sealing is required.

Pump capacity, total head, pipe size, duty cycle, and expected inflow are reasonably matched

Selected pumps should deliver required flow at the actual vertical lift and friction conditions rather than relying on zero-head marketing capacity.

Use after primary, battery, water-powered, or redundant sump equipment is installed or replaced and before final payment or reliance during wet weather. Pump selection and discharge must reflect actual inflow, head, power, code, utility, flood, and property conditions. Do not enter unsupported excavations, confined or oxygen-deficient spaces, flooded or sewage-contaminated areas, energized wet areas, visibly unstable structures, or crawlspaces with unknown air, pest, mold, asbestos, or electrical hazards. Do not drill, jack, excavate, open pressurized systems, or alter structural supports without qualified direction.
