Diagnosis, safety notices, estimate, parts, and authorization are documented

Critical item

The service record should identify the complaint, diagnostic findings, affected system, recall or safety information, approved repair, parts, labor, exclusions, and authorization before additional work.

Utilities, guards, covers, seals, fasteners, and safety devices are restored

Critical item

Electrical, gas, water, refrigerant, combustion, venting, grounding, guards, interlocks, covers, insulation, seals, and fasteners should be restored under the service procedure without bypasses.

Complete operating cycle passes without recurring fault, leak, heat, vibration, or damage

The appliance should complete the manufacturer-appropriate functional and safety tests for the repaired system, with error history and connected utilities rechecked.

Property protection, cleanup, invoice, parts and labor warranty, and follow-up are complete
