1. Check each appliance is level (use a level on top)

2. Verify electrical connections — proper outlet type, dedicated circuit where required

3. For gas appliances: check connections with soapy water for leaks, verify shut-off valve

4. For water-connected appliances: check supply and drain connections for leaks

5. Run each appliance through a complete cycle — test all functions

6. Verify clearances — follow manufacturer specifications

7. Check that anti-tip bracket is installed on freestanding ranges

8. Verify manuals and warranty cards are provided

- Gas leak at connection (check with soapy water — bubbles = leak)

- Missing anti-tip bracket on range (range tips if child stands on open door)

- Appliance not level (doors don't close properly, washer walks)

- Water connections dripping

- Wrong outlet type (4-prong vs 3-prong for dryer)

- No dedicated circuit (breaker trips during use)
