Dryer must vent to exterior through rigid or semi-rigid metal duct. Maximum 35 feet with deductions for elbows. No screws penetrating into ductwork.
Electric dryer needs dedicated 30-amp 240V circuit. Gas dryer needs 120V outlet. Washer needs dedicated 20-amp circuit. GFCI if within 6 feet of sink.
Laundry room floor should be water-resistant. Floor drain recommended. Flooring should withstand moisture from washer.
